How to Play WMA Files on iPhone without Hassle

1 Convert WMA and Sync to iPhone on iTunes (Time-Consuming)

iTunes helps to convert from WMA to MP3 format and sync the converted files to iPhone. But it’s not recommended as it will cost you much time.
Steps to Convert WMA Files to MP3 on iTunes

You need to add the WMA files to your iTunes library first. Then do as below.

Step 1: Open iTunes and go to “iTunes > Preferences” on Mac or “Edit > Preferences” on Windows.

Step 2: Tap General and then Import Settings.

Step 3: Click the box next to Import Using and choose MP3 Encoder. Then click OK to save the changes.

Step 4: On your music library, select the WMA songs you want to convert.

Step 5: Go to “File > Convert > Create MP3 Version”. Then the converted songs will be displayed next to the original WMA files.

Steps to Sync Converted MP3 to iPhone on iTunes

Step 6: Connect your iPhone to computer and click the device tab when detecting.

Step 7: Choose Music from the left sidebar.

Step 8: Check Sync Music and select the audio files you want to transfer.

Step 9: When done, click Apply to start the syncing process. It will take time to sync, wait for it to finish patiently.

Disadvantages Of Using iTunes:

It cannot be done at one place and in a few clicks. In a way, it’s very complex if you’re not familiar with iTunes.

Syncing files to iPhone will delete the existing files from iPhone. If you don’t make it right, all the media files will be erased from iPhone.

It does not give you the opportunity to manage the music the way you like.

You can’t preview and select the files to sync.
How to Play WMA on iPhone Using 3rd-Party Players

If you don’t convert WMA files to MP3 before transferring to iPhone, the only way to play WMA files on iPhone is using third-party player apps. Some audio player apps are compatible with lots of audio formats, including WMA.

But the disadvantage is that, you can’t manage or listen to all your songs and listen in one place. It’s would be a little annoyed for some users. If you mind, just convert WMA files to MP3 first.
The third-party players to play WMA include:

VLC app

Finally, you can use Home Sharing to transfer your library to your Mac. Keep a few things in mind before you do this, though:

How to Disable iOS 12/11.4/11.3 Software Update Notification 2019

How to Disable iOS 12/11.4/11.3 Software Update Notification 2019

Question

I plan on waiting at least a month until I update my iPhone to iOS 11.4. But Apple won’t let me. They keep reminding me every two hours to update and I can’t turn it off. The only options I have are “Install Tonight” and “Remind Me Later”. I want to disable this reminder. Anyone know what I can do?

This constant reminder from Apple to update your device to iOS 12/11.4/11.3 can be a pain and if you want to get rid of it, choose when you update your device rather than have Apple decide for you, you’re in the right place. Here, we will discuss the various ways you can get your iPhone or iPad to stop sending you these “reminders” all the time.

Sponsor ads:Windows Media Player Won’t Play AVI Troubleshooting

Sponsor ads:Calendar Apps for iPhone in 2019 – Manage Your Schedule

Before we get to the solutions, it is however necessary to let you know that there is no easy solution. After all, Apple wants as many people as possible installing the latest iOS update (it is iOS 12 for now). So much so, that they have introduced a new feature that downloads the update in the background and then the device sends you these “reminders” to install it once the download is complete. In essence, you are getting these reminders because the updates have already been downloaded and are just awaiting installation.
1. Delete the Downloaded Update from Your Device

If you delete the automatically downloaded iOS 12/11.4/11.3 update, there should be no more reminders to update. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Tap on Settings.

Step 2: Tap General and then Storage & iCloud Storage.

Step 3: From there, tap “Manage Storage” (below “Storage” not “iCloud.”)

Step 4: Find the iOS update. It should be the one with iOS then followed by numbers.

Step 5: Tap “Delete Update” and again in the alert window that appears.

2. Block Apple Updates from your Wi-Fi Router

Actually even you delete the iOS update, it will still download the latest iOS 12/11.4/11.3 when your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi and so you will receive the update alert again. You can block Apple Software Update Domains on your router to keep them from accessing your device. The process will depend on the router you are using. But it typically involves opening your router’s web-based interface and find “Domain Blocking” or “Domain Block.” Enter the domain apple.com.

Here’s what the process would be like using a Virgin Broadband Router as an example.

Step 1: On the Safari browser enter the Mac address from the admin site. You can find it on the back of the router.

Step 2: Enter the password which can also be found on the back of the router/modem.

Step 3: Click “Advanced Settings” and then select “Domain Blocking” under “Parental Controls”.

Step 4: Add appldnld.apple.com into the Domain to Block and then click “Add Domain.”

Step 5: Add mesu.apple.com and then click “Add Domain.”

Step 6: Finally, click “Apply” and “Yes” and you should never receive any updates from Apple.

Note: This will prevent software updates from working. If you check for an update, you will see “Unable to Check for Update.”
Tip 1: How to Turn off Automatic Updates

Remember how we said, you get the alert because Apple has a new “Automatic Update” feature that downloads the updates for you. The good news is, you can disable this feature and should never be able to get the alert again. Here’s how to do it.Sponsor ads:Apps To Brighten & Enhance Videos Taken on iPhone

Step 1: Launch the settings app on your device and the tap “iTunes & App Stores.”

Step 2: Turn “Automatic Downloads” off.

Tip 2: How to Downgrade iOS 12 Beta to iOS 11

If you have upgraded your iPhone to iOS 12 but you don’t like it and would like to downgrade it to iOS 11, then you can learn how to downgrade iOS 12 Beta to iOS 11 from the article. However, downgrading iOS to old version is never an easy task and you need to follow the instructions tightly.

You should stop receiving the alerts of iOS 12/11.4/11.3 update once this is done. Just to be sure though, delete the updates that were already downloaded.Sponsor ads:7 Best Twitch Streaming Software (Free and Paid) for You 2019
